As I get older

I realize that all the clichés are true.

I realize that one of the best gifts you can teach your children is to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.

I’ve learned that Life is a trip not a test. The older you get the more you realize that it’s a solitary journey.

You can’t really teach anybody anything that they are not ready to learn anyway. If that were true, we would have learned everything from Jesus, Socrates, or Buddha already.

What I have learned is that it doesn’t matter. Nothing matters and everything matters. You simply take it as it comes. I’ve learned that” it is what it is” and” everything happens for a reason” are not the same . Nobody is coming to save your soul and nobody has it out for you.

It simply is. The universe is spinning, the Earth is revolving and you’re on it. Stuff simply happens because it does and you have more control than you think. Stuff happens because it does and your reaction to it determines much of it.

At 75 I had a stroke. I was not overweight, I have no health problems, I walked 10,000 steps per day and by all Accounts was an excellent health. But I had a stroke and no one knows why. so all I can do is tried to come back the best I can. Luck of the draw.
